Introduction    

As continuous learning grows ever challenging for work forces of every level, so training design becomes more critical in the aim to transfer appropriate learning that will be sustained and be highly valuable.

This 3 day programme sets out to unpick the process and skills of designing learning that is both memorable and makes distinct contributions to people and the organisation as a whole.  Looking at 21st century training challenges and how people learn, the programme offers a thorough grounding in planning and designing training for a wide variety of situations and levels.  Aimed at developing understanding and skills, it emphasises creative approaches underpinned by robust planning and post-learning evaluation techniques.

Course objectives       

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

 

  • Appreciate how to effectively plan, design and evaluate training
  • Identify the hallmarks of effective learning within a training intervention
  • Judge how to design appropriate training that meets individual and organisational objectives 
  • Identify how to use different training methods, appropriately and creatively

Experience of initiating or contributing to training interventions
