Course Title:  Presentation Skills

Course ID:  TD201E

Fees:  1,750

Days:  3

Introduction

In a recent survey of things that most people fear, public speaking was voted no.1 (death was 7th).  To be a successful manager we must be able to communicate, sometimes with large numbers of people, and to win them around to our position.  We must then be able to defend that point of view without appearing nervous or defensive.  Our body language, voice, gestures and visual aids should all contribute towards that message.  All good speakers started out as poor speakers – this course aims to turn speakers of all levels into really good public speakers. The process involves:

§        Awareness - Where are we now? Where would we like to be by the end of the course?

§        Understanding - Our attitudes, their attitudes, techniques of presentation,  how to maintain interest and involvement, how to structure and organise a presentation.

§        Practice ‘wingers’ with video playback to coach

§          Confidence - comes from awareness and practice

Course objectives
